4.10 Slip Clutch Torque Check Procedures
4.10.1 GSM 85 Slip Clutch Torque Check Procedure
The procedure in this section is for the GSM 85 servo gearboxes. To perform the procedure, all G1000
and GFC 700 equipment must be installed and operational.
The GSM85 slip clutch torque values must be checked, and adjusted if necessary, to the limits prescribed
on each servo mount installation drawing. The procedure for adjusting the clutch is given on each servo
mount installation drawing.
This adjustment requires the use of the Garmin slip clutch adjustment fixture, P/N 011-01085-01.
Refer to the following servo mount installation drawings for removal, clutch adjustment procedures, and
re-installation:

4.10.2 GSM 86 Automated Slip Clutch Torque Check Procedure
The procedures in this section are for the GSM 86 servo gearboxes. To perform the procedure, all G1000
and GFC 700 equipment must be installed and operational.
Push the DISPLAY BACKUP button on the audio panel to set the MFD into reversionary mode.
With the PFD in Configuration Mode, rotate the large FMS knob and select the GFC Page Group. Rotate
the small FMS knob to select the GFC STATUS Page. Perform the following checks:

IMPORTANT!
It is highly recommended that the following test be performed at temperatures
between 50° F and 120° F.
